Encouraging guests not to take more food than they can eat at the breakfast buffet, with the option to go back for a second portion. Can one visit your restaurants without being a resident of the hotel?

About us

For over 160 years, we have hosted countless hotel guests, moviegoers, party enthusiasts, theater companies, and hungry residents of Halmstad. Now, our story continues with a new chapter, where we have recreated our former splendor, focusing on life's delights inspired by Greta and Franz's travels. With inclusive hospitality, surprising experiences, and a modern curiosity, we look forward to being here for at least another 160 years. In May 2021, we reopened in a new spirit, blending the 1920s with the 2020s. Inspired by all the memories and experiences that Elite Hotel Mårtenson has offered over the years, but especially by Franz & Greta Gruber, who lived and worked here at the hotel in Halmstad during the mid-1900s.
